Senior Respiratory Physiologist

Our client an established hospital is currently recruiting a Senior Respiratory Physiologist
to join their team due to the continued expansion of their service.
Essential Criteria:
*Possess the BSc. Degree in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM)
*3 years relevant post qualification experience
*Excellent communication skills especially the ability to communicate clear and concise instructions to patients in an understandable fashion.
*Strong interpersonal skills
*Good leadership skills.
*The capacity to work with other professionals in planning teams/working groups
Responsibilities and Essential Job Function:
*Spirometry
*Reversibility studies.
*Lung volumes by Nitrogen Washout Methods
*Lung Volume by Body Plethysmography
*Diffusion capacity
*Full polysomnography (PSG studies) and/ limited studies
*Full Polysomnography on CPAP treatment
*Analysis and reporting of sleep studies
*Bronchoprovocation challenges
*Skin Prick Allergy Tests
*Report of results
*Participate in patient care i.e. participation for procedures and reassurance of patient.
*Provide patient education.
*History taking and interpretation of request forms.
*Responsibility for day-to-day maintenance, servicing and calibration of equipment. Have relevant technical knowledge to operate all equipment.
*Performing the required procedure, reporting and highlighting abnormal, or inconsistent results.
