Our client is a manufacturer of high-quality luxury food products, have an excellent brand and stellar reputation in the FMCG industry. They now seek to recruit a National Account Manager with strong commercial acumen and drive. The successful candidate will have full P&L responsibility for their accounts which will include the development of strategic planning and sales growth for specific Head Office accounts.
A key part of this role will be building and developing relationships across customer functions to ensure that the company maintain and develop their position as a key strategic and trusted private label supplier within those accounts.
*Delivering sales and business development strategy, in consultation with the key stakeholders (internal and external), for the defined territory and key accounts within the overall business
*Leading private label projects from conception, product development, pricing, approval through to on-going account management.
*Accountable for customer performance against defined targets such as growth and margin improvement
*Responsible for the planning and development of customer promotions and business plans
*Analysis of sales data (both customer and market) to deliver sales reports and insights that will continue to drive the business
*Responsible for negotiating and maintaining listings, within target trade rates for specified customers
*Responsible for demand forecasting for specified accounts to include the delivery of all negotiated in-store promotions.
*Deliver an effective pre and post evaluation of key commercial activities for a given customer / category
*Support category planning and execution of range reviews
*Minimum of 8 years experience in a similar role, preferred with at least 3-4 years in a sales leadership position within a defined territory.
*Ability to proactively manage retail head office accounts
*Highly developed Excel and Power-point skills
*Strong negotiating skills
*Ability to effectively analyse and interpret data
*Ability to drive NPD delivery
*Able to identify key issues/trends & proactively develop & execute a plan to address
*Strong communication & presentation skills
*Team player able to work cross-functionally as required
*Capable of sharing knowledge across the wider business

*Strong influencing and decisions making skills
*Demonstrated entrepreneurial approach to sales development and account management within a defined territory. Experience of private label sales development is essential.
