Job Description

Medical Scientist (Staff Grade), Microbiology, Galway Ireland

Head Hunt International is currently looking to recruit an ambitious, confident, and qualified Microbiologist.

Contract: Permanent
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary Scale: €33,929 - €57,426

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor in Science (Applied Science) Honours degree (Biomedical option) from the University of Dublin/ Dublin Institute of Technology, Kevin Street or
Bachelor in Science Honours degree in Biomedical Science from t University College Cork - Cork Institute of Technology course or
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences of the Dublin Institute of Technology, Kevin Street of the Cork Institute of Technology awarded prior to 1994 or
Possess Certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences of the Dublin Institute of Technology. Kevin Street or Cork Institute of Technology or the Galway/ Mayo Institute of Technology (awarded prior to 1997) or
A recognised qualification at least equivalent to the above and
Be a member, or be eligible for membership, of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM) and
Be registered with CORU from 31st March 2019 if newly qualified or by 31st March 2021 if currently employed as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and Applicants who qualified outside Ireland must provide evidence from CORU Medical Scientist Registration Board that their qualifications have been approved for Medical Scientist and meet criteria for recognition including CORU Application Reference number. Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience in a Microbiology laboratory
