Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager to join a team at an Irish Luxury Hotel Collection.

Based in Dublin or Kildare, the candidate needs to demonstrate a strong sales acumen with a keen focus on winning business and getting results.

This would be an ideal role for a candidate wishing to work very much on their own initiative and exceed targets.

We are seeking a high energy, highly motivated and driven person with strong sales and results focus.

Main Responsibilities


To have a complete knowledge of all three Cliff hotels and the product and services they offer.
Conduct an agreed target of quality face to face sales calls each week on behalf of both properties. Full call notes and report on these to be issued each Friday to GM and Group Commercial Director.
To source new business opportunities to maximize revenues through research & telesales
Daily monitoring of Events with telesales and/or sales calls to assist in their conversion.
Generate new corporate, meeting, wedding and leisure business for all Properties through new account development and full penetration of existing accounts.
Competitor analysis and subsequent targeting of business.
Engage with DMCs and Tour Operators to promote the properties to international leisure clients
To liaise with all departments about client and guest feedback on the products and services
Implement a lead generation system with front desk and events staff and follow through. Analyse lost business
Represent the hotel during trade shows, exhibitions and at in house corporate events. Both national and international travel may be required
Conduct site inspections, familiarization trips and any corporate social events in a professional and enthusiastic manner.


To develop collateral for all the market segments
Attend PR planning meetings and complete allocated tasks within agreed time frame
Participation and implementation of the Social Media Plan of the property in partnership with the General Manager, Group Commercial Director and Group Digital Marketing Executive
Working with the reservations and operations team to generate marketing ideas and packages, and communicate these
To create and distribute mail outs and email blasts to communicate promotions and offers for room nights, F&B, etc as agreed with the management team
Review monthly Sales & Marketing plan and send on results

The ideal candidate will possess:

Experience in hospitality.
A professional approach with an ability to work in a fast paced environment.
A 'can do' attitude and be resilient.
Excellence in communicating and presenting to clients.
An interest in the market and new opportunities for the properties.
A full clean driving licence with own car.
Proven competency of Microsoft computer packages.

Preference may be given to candidates with a full clean driving licence with access to their own transport but this is not deemed necessary to the role.
