Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner (RANP) in Urgent Care
Hours39 hours full-time / Open to part-time arrangements (across 7 day roster)

Reporting ArrangementsThe RANP is professionally accountable to the Director of Nursing.
Clinically accountable to the Clinical Lead with responsibility for Urgent Care.

The RANP engages in on-going clinical supervision with an appropriate named clinical supervisor. The structure, process and outcome of clinical supervision must be explicit and the RANP maintains a record of clinical supervision in his/her professional practice portfolio as evidence of continuous professional development.
Purpose of the Post
The advanced practice service at the Company sites is provided by nurses who practice at a higher level of capability as independent, autonomous and expert advanced practitioners. The overall purpose of the service is to provide safe, timely, evidenced based nurse-led care to patients who attend the Facility for treatment. This involves undertaking and documenting a completed episode of patient care for those patients with non-life- threatening injury and illness. This includes comprehensively assessing, diagnosing, planning, treating and discharging patients in accordance with collaboratively agreed local policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines.
The RANP will demonstrate advanced clinical and theoretical knowledge, critical thinking, clinical leadership and complex decision-making abilities.

Each of the six domains specifies the standard which the RANP has a duty and responsibility to demonstrate and practise.
Qualifications, experience, skills, competencies and / or knowledgeEssential Requirements
*Must hold registration with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Register.
*Have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in an acute care setting such as an emergency department or urgent care unit.
*Possess a postgraduate qualification in emergency nursing (QQI Level 8 or equivalent
*Have a broad base of clinical experience relevant to the advanced field of practice in the management of patients with non-life-threatening injury and illness.
*Have demonstrated competence in managing a caseload of patients with non-life-threatening injury or illness.
*Possess an interest in Integrative Medicine.
*Flexibility to work across a 7 day roster.
*Demonstrates alignment with Company values.
*Possesses the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, professional and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.

Please note there will be a requirement to travel to Dublin or Cork within the first six months for training.
