Job Title: Commercial Development Chef
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Irelands best known award winning food producers. The role shall work closely with the NPD Manager, Technical Team, NPI teams, Commercial and Production teams
Main Purpose of Job:
To have a good understanding of creating confectionery in a commercial capacity.
To provide creativity and passion to the development of new recipes. The analyse recipes and ensure cost is central to developing successful recipes for the production process
*Have a good understanding of chocolate and the confectionery market.
*Have a good knowledge of creating mixes with balancing flavours and textures.
*Be a good communicator and the ability to work with cross functional teams
*Have the ability to be creative with ideas, finishes, flavours for new products
*Creating cost effective premium products taking into account the processes within production
*Be mindful at the development stage of recipes the cost of the product to ensure delivery is within the set parameters
*Be enthusiastic and willing to learn new techniques.
*Be a good communicator and liaise closely with the New Product Introduction team to ensure chocolate, fillings and finishes are feasible for the production processes.
*Be present at trials to ensure texture and flavour is handed over and achieved
*To continuously improve and ensure recipes are developed to minimise waste on the production floor
*To be an advocate of new ideas, flavour combinations, decorating techniques and trends
*Have an understanding of retailer codes of practices and the importance of using natural ingredients
*Have the ability to assist with specific projects and carry out research if needed
*Have good computer skills.
*Must be able to communicate effectively in English
