Our Client are a well established professional services business that are now able to offer this exciting opportunityt as a leader for their sales function

The Role

The Senior Business Development Manager will have responsibility for both the existing businesses and opportunities
These involve delivery of key objectives by each of the members of the strategic management team, of whom the new BD Manager will be one. The targets set have been developed over the last year, are specific for each area of the business and are based on sound business principles. This positions the company for growth and it is the philosophy and culture that the senior team that lead and deliver this are incentivised and rewarded appropriately. The new BD role is an important player in this growth, and will have responsibility for the two critical areas in the home market.


This role requires an ambitious, dynamic individual with a strong sales background (ideally in a solution rather than product driven environment, such as professional services), a good understanding of operational requirements, a commercially minded approach, a focus on compliance, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to take a leadership role and work with other members of the senior management team to grow and expand the Irish business. This is a very exciting opportunity in an established market leading company to expand on the foundations that already exist to grow the business in Ireland and develop the new opportunity with a key partner alliance.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Chairman to identify and develop opportunities in the Irish market for the existing business whilst liaising with the teams in the Dublin and Cork offices to ensure service delivery. In addition, they will work closely with the Managing Director to develop and roll out the Alliance proposition
Primarily
Setting Business Development goals with the Chairman and Managing Director and developing strategies and plans to deliver on these goals.
Delivering on the agreed sales targets in the two specific areas of the business.
Secondary
Through a strong, five person team, promoting the brand to key players and influencers as a trusted partner with a proven track-record. Building strong relationships in the sector that will result in new business wins.
Monitoring the industry sector closely to ensure the services remain relevant to the market
Ensuring the delivery of a seamless, compliant service to clients.
Developing and articulating the proposition and taking it to the strategic decision makers in major local corporations and Irish based multinationals.
Professional Profile:
5+ years of relevant management experience in growing a business
Strong, proven Business Development background in a highly professional service/solution driven environment
Commercially minded with a good understanding of the operational requirements of a business of this size and shape
Demonstrable ability to lead and develop a team
Collaborative mindset and high level of emotional intelligence
Self starting, intellectually curious, lateral thinking and willing to take responsibility
Hungry, ambitious, driven
Good financial and IT knowledge
May have a bacground in recruitment services or professional services
