Bid Manager excellent opportunity with top company in Dublin
Top Company require a skilled bid manager to lead their bid management function.
The role will be:
Responsible for the management and co-ordination of the Company's Bidding function, ensuring that all bids are effectively resourced and that bid submissions are delivered on time, to the required quality and within agreed bid budgets, providing the optimum opportunity to win the work being tendered and underpin forward workload to meet business targets for turnover and profit. The bid management process shall commence on receipt of ITT / RFI / RFP etc., and continue through to final submission and close out with Customers. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines.
Participate as a member of the Commercial Management Team in developing, formulating and implementing Corporate and Commercial strategies, policies, plans and budgets and in monitoring the Company's performance so as to ensure the Corporate mission, goals and targets are achieved.
Establish and provide a quality, leading edge professional Bid Winning service within the Company with the required levels of market/service/product/business knowledge necessary to lead, develop and submit competitive, high quality bid solutions - utilising external support as necessary.
Lead and develop the Bid management team scheduling and running proposal kick-off meetings, leading story boarding sessions, facilitating key review meetings/final document review, co-coordinating proposal governance /sign off, document production, and delivery of the completed proposal.
Co-ordinate and manage the Bid Management process, assembling proposals teams with the relevant commercial, engineering/technical, planning, estimating, bid writing, legal and other expertise and support to produce the proposal response, and ensure compliance with all Company and Group Commercial and Financial procedures, including;
Decision to bid,
Governance and Approval processes,
Joint Venture/Partner selection and approvals where applicable,
Standard and quality of Bid documentation,
Legal, Risk and Pricing policies,
Develop and implement systems and processes required to;
measure and record bid performance with regard to success and failure rates,
standardise the preparation of tender cost data to establish a library of estimating norms/ benchmark data, to facilitate comparison with previous tenders,
monitor and report on market activity / trends, highlighting significant changes to market conditions evident from Customer procurement processes / awards.
ensure quality and professional tender submissions are delivered consistently to Clients in line with Company brand values
utilise lessons learned from previous tenders and establish best practice across the business.
and to be responsible for the preparation, content and presentation of all tender submissions and reports, required to document and record the status of same.
Drive improvements in tender win rate ratio by establishing early engagement and regular interface with Customer Procurement Teams, Business Operating Units and Business Development Departments, to identify key target projects which align with Company business strategy and business competencies, to maximise opportunity of winning tenders and minimising abortive tender costs.
The ideal Person:
should have years or more in bud management
desirable to have worked in a technology firm or complex services industry
will be highly numerate and skilled in writing and producing compelling documents
